Landscapes | Seagulls of Surfers Paradise

 In Birds, Landscapes, Travelscapes

“What light is to the eyes – what air is to the lungs – what love is to the heart, liberty is to the soul of man.”

Robert Green Ingersoll

Of all the Seascapes I have ever been to, I can only remember two moments that were so beautifully ingrained into my memories. One of them is snorkeling somewhere in the Natuna Islands near Ranai, I have no idea where the exact location is as I was there while serving my tour of duty in the Navy. That was actually the first time I ever saw clear blue waters and you can practically see the fishes swimming in the shallow tides. The second time when I was totally in awe of the ocean was at the beaches in GoldCoast, Australia. It might be the beautiful light or the chilly weather, standing on the soft sand and hearing the crash of the waves is an experience I don’t get a lot of—it makes the spirit soar. The same effect I get for rejuvenating the spirit can also be found high up the mountains or walking in the woods, personally the one I love the most is still by the ocean.

The horde of seagulls there completed the picture for me.
