Sands of Kusu Island

 In Landscapes

The city definitely has its own allure with the architecture and cultural heritage. It is just that sometimes I like to take a breather from the pace and escape to some place that provides solace. The energy of a city is like diametrically opposite to that of nature. One is fast and full of movement while the other slows you down to a silent and peaceful halt.

It can be challenging to find something that even resembles a natural landscape in a small city. I had to take a boat out to the surrounding islands to try my luck. This is one of the Southern Islands in Singapore called Kusu Island, which means Tortoise Island.

It doesn’t look like much as compared to an epic landscape, but it is still a nice haven for some peace and quiet not far from the heart of the city.
