Japan truly has some of the most amazing and unique architectures in the world. There are two main buildings here in the Sumida Ward of Tokyo, the Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi Beer Headquarters.

The Tokyo Skytree is the tallest structure in Japan and also the second tallest in the world at the time of its completion. If you are into anime, there is also a big Attack on Titan exhibition running at the Skytree.

Upon approaching the Sumida Ward from Asakusa, the first thing that capture my eyes is this golden poo on the Asahi beer hall. Later on I found out that the locals really call the place “the golden turd” or “poo building”. What a surprise! Of course I don’t think they built that to resemble poop. That golden thing is called the Asahi Flame. It represents the “burning heart of Asahi beer” and is supposed to look like froth on a beer glass.
